Eric C, Betz is Vice President | Multi-Discipline Engineering and Consulting at French & Parrello Associates, specializing in the water and wastewater sector. FPA is a well-established (2024 marks their 50th anniversary), technically savvy, privately-owned, diverse consulting firm with core expertise in geotechnical, environmental, structural, transportation, building systems inclusive of MEP, water resources and dams, and telecommunications. The firm is also proficient in survey/scanning, GIS systems, construction phase services (RE/RI/CI), and it owns and operates a certified/accredited materials testing laboratory for soil, asphalt, and concrete, located at the company headquarters in Wall Township, New Jersey. In addition to the HQ in Wall, FPA has regional offices in Newark, Hackettstown and Camden, as well as New York City, Bethlehem (PA) and Altanta (GA).

Previously he worked as a Senior Vice President and Development Manager for the US Northeast Region at Mott MacDonald, based in Iselin, New Jersey. He has been responsible for advising, planning, permitting, designing, and providing construction phase engineering services for numerous critical infrastructure improvement projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region that are in use today, benefiting the health, safety, and welfare of the public.

His technical background is in Civil and Environmental Engineering and three decades of project experience in the areas of water and transportation, as well as a variety of specialty project experience serving local, county and state governments, institutes for higher education, utility authorities, transportation authorities as well as private-sector clients.

He earned a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Rutgers University, and is a licensed Professional Engineer, Board Certified Environmental Engineer, and Certified Municipal Engineer, and he is active in numerous professional organizations. He is a Past President and Executive Board Member for the NJ Society of Municipal Engineers, serves on the Board of the Jersey Shore Partnership, Rutgers University's School of Engineering CEE Industry Board, and Columbia University's School of Engineering's CBIPS. He is also a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies in New Jersey and New York, serving on the Port Authority of NY & NJ Business Practices Committee.
