2023 CBIPS Panelist Dana Mecomber

Dana Mecomber has spent her entire career focused on environmental protection and sustainability in the New York metropolitan region. In early 2023 she joined MTA Construction & Engineering as Director of Climate Sustainability Planning, where she is responsible for building and managing an agenda for climate sustainability within the MTA's capital program, including the development of the Twenty-Year Needs Assessment and multi-billion dollar 5-year Capital Plan. Prior to joining the MTA, Dana worked in the Port Authority of NY & NJ's Office of Sustainabiity, where she led strategy to reduce carbon emissions from the Agency's many tenants, stakeholders, and customers across the aviation, maritime, and on-road transportation sectors.

She received a Master of Public Administration, Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia | SIPA and a BS in Environmental Engineering from the University of Delaware.
