Denise M. Richardson

Denise M. Richardson served as the Executive Director of the General Contractors Association of New York, a 300-member trade association that represents New York City’s unionized, heavy civil and public works construction contractors.  Prior to joining the GCA in 2006, Ms. Richardson had over 20 years of construction contract and management experience including positions at NYC DEP, MTA/New York City Transit, the former NYC Department of General Services (now DDC), NYC Department of Sanitation and Honeywell International.

She serves as an employer trustee on several union pension and health benefit funds, overseeing benefits administration and fund investments.  She is on the boards of Helmets to Hardhats, the New York League of Conservation Voters, Regional Plan Association, Tri-State Transportation Campaign, Waterfront Alliance and the Department of Education’s Career and Technical Education Program at City Poly High School.  

Denise has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Simmons College and a master’s degree in public administration and urban and regional planning from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University.
