Gauri Mahendra Patil

2020-21 Fellows

Gauri Patil is a fellow for the Centre for Building, Infrastructure and Public Spaces. She is currently enrolled for the Masters in Construction Engineering Management degree at Columbia University’s Fu Foundation School of Engineering. She has received an undergraduate Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Mumbai in April 2019. During her undergraduate degree, she worked as an architecture intern, where her duties involved but were not limited to preparing working drawings, municipal drawings, project feasibility reports, and 3D visualization, calculated area statement and assisted in preparing project bids. She also had the opportunity to work on a Slum Rehabilitation housing project in Mumbai, under Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai as a part of her curriculum. For her undergraduate dissertation, Gauri has successfully defended her thesis on Sustainable Design and Construction in the Hospitality industry. Her research interests focus on Lean construction, sustainability, and technology in construction. At CBIPS, she will be participating in research pertaining to the creation of a 2030 District in Washington Heights.
