Rain Li

2018-19 Fellows

Xiaoyu (Rain) Li is a Fellow of the Center for Buildings, Infrastructure and Public Space and enrolled in the Master’s Degree program for Construction Engineering & Management at the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science of Columbia University. His undergraduate degree was a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Davis, conferred in September, 2014.

He has significant experience working at the Civil Engineering Department of South China University where he applied BIM into the life cycle construction and management of a major public utility.  He has also worked as a Supervision Assistant at the Guangdong SCUT Engineering Construction Supervision Co. where he served as a supervision assistant on a variety of residential buildings and check quality, program ad equipment status of ongoing construction.

His research interests included participation in the UC Davis Solar Decathlon Team where he drew roof construction details and led material selection in the building design team. At CBIPS he will be participating in the research efforts pertaining to fiscal analysis of infrastructure maintenance and operations.
