Rohan Choudhury

2019-20 Fellows

Rohan Choudhury is a Fellow of the Center for Buildings, Infrastructure and Public Space and enrolled in the master’s degree program for Construction Engineering & Management at the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science of Columbia University. He did his undergraduate degree from KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, India which was conferred on 2019. He has significant experience working as a project intern at Numaligarh Refinery Ltd where he was part of the team constructing its corporate office, a G+9 building in which he was part of various duties such as cost management, design and resource management while being actively involved with the personnel working on site. His internship in Dalmia Bharat Cement Ltd was a strategic move on his part to develop himself holistically and learn more about market dynamics. He was predominantly a part of the marketing team responsible for analysis of the cement market of the region. In his most recent internship at Zenith Real Estate Developers, he worked primarily as a project management intern in which his duties involved tracking progress of the project by means of estimates and schedules. His research interests primarily lie on Efficient Delivery of projects and on Risk Management in Construction. At CBIPS, he will be participating in the research efforts for NYC Department of Parks and Recreation pertaining to sustainable and pragmatic design of the Parks.
