Yu Yang is an M.S. student at the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science of Columbia University, concentrating on Construction Engineering & Management. She got her Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Management from Southeast University in Nanjing, China, conferred in 2019. She was awarded Meritorious Scholarship in Southeast University every year and led national university student innovation programs from 2015-2018.
She involved in budget management and internal auditing of construction work-in-progress as a project management intern at China Communications Construction Investment Company. Her internship at the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Authority focused on reviewing and drafting project contracts.
She has participated in researches on the impact of large-scale park construction on community social groups of aboriginal residents, as well as real estate development and finance. Her current research interests are visualization, data analytics, historic preservation, and environmental protection.
