CBIPS_PUBLIC SPACE TEN YEARS AFTER

The attached PowerPoint presentation by Elal Segev and Gauri Patil outlines the key issues facing public space in New York City - and other major cities around the world - ten years after the onset of the coronavirus pandemic. It accompanies the other CBIPS research topics pursued in the Spring Semester of 2021 including the future of green buildings, zoning, commercial real estate and residential real estate. The impact of the pandemic on these and other issues will be analyzed using works in progress, trends that can be interpolated, and insights into probable or anticipated positive change. This presentation addresses issues of indoor and outdoor public spaces, and the long-term impact on social infrastructure.
