It accompanies the other CBIPS research topics pursued in the Spring Semester of 2021 including the future of green buildings, zoning, commercial real estate and residential real estate.
CYBER SECURITY FOR INFRASTRUCTURE
Smart cities of the 21st Century are those which use discernible data and innovative technology to secure and expand assets, using growth and community development expertise to assure a prosperous future all. Research will center on how to protect and enhance the quality of life that is increasingly enabled and augmented through technological changes in our infrastructure. How do we protect our transportation network when more and more we are using artificial intelligence to control traffic?

Announcing the launch of the Center for Buildings, Infrastructure and Public Space at The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science at Columbia University
The Center for Buildings, Infrastructure and Public Space seeks to identify how best to design, construct, and manage buildings, infrastructure and civic spaces, emphasizing cost, schedule, quality, and safety in addition to social impact, sustainability, and resilience. We search for ways to create and connect legacy buildings, needed infrastructure, and planned development to improve the quality of life. In so doing, we pursue ways to catalyze economic success and urban innovation to help define the future of cities.
